Multiple fire departments respond to crash on Route 495 that results in injuries, mangled vehicle

A holiday weekend Massachusetts highway crash resulted in injuries and a vehicle destroyed.

According to the Plainville Fire Department, the Plainville and Wrentham Fire Departments responded early Friday afternoon for a serious motor vehicle crash with entrapment on Route 495 South at Route 1.

1 occupant was transported to the Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center.

The crash is under investigation.
