Multiple fights at Fall River park leads to several charged after alleged waving of machete

Fall River Police charged multiple people after fighting that reportedly took place at a city park.

According to police, on Thursday, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Fall River Police responded to Lafayette Park following reports of multiple fights involving juveniles and adults, along with threats that a weapon was present.

During the investigation, witnesses reported that an adult male had displayed and waved what appeared to be a machete, causing several people to flee the area. Officers reviewed cellphone video that corroborated those accounts and arrested 53-year-old Yul Berry.
