Multi-vehicle rollover crash on Route 6 in Swansea results in injuries

An afternoon crash on Monday afternoon resulted in injuries to a driver.

A call came into dispatch at approximately 4:15 p.m. for a two-vehicle crash with a rollover on Route 6 in the area of 179 GAR Highway in Swansea.

According to Police Chief Mark Foley, a vehicle turning onto Gardner’s Neck Road was struck by a vehicle travelling on Route 6. The operator that was turning was waved on to proceed by a motorist that stopped in traffic.

The operator of the overturned vehicle was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
