Multi-vehicle head-on crash with injuries and entrapment shuts down bridge on Cape Cod

Several crews responded to a crash with injuries Sunday afternoon that shut down a bridge.

According to scanner transmissions, at just before 1:15 p.m., a call came into dispatch for a multi-vehicle head-on collision on the Bourne Bridge heading toward Cape Cod.

Massachusetts State Police reported entrapment once on scene.

At least three vehicles were involved including a commercial truck.

Bourne PD and multiple EMS units also responded to the crash

MedFlight was unavailable due to weather conditions.

The bridge is closed in both directions.

Among the injured, at least one was a priority 1 patient.

The collision is under investigation.
