MS-13 gang member, child sex offender, among 40 arrested by ICE Boston, federal partners in operation
CAPE COD, Mass. — On Tuesday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, alongside the FBI, DEA, ATF, and U.S. Coast Guard, conducted immigration enforcement operations on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, resulting in approximately 40 apprehensions, including a known MS-13 gang member and at least one child sex offender.
“This operation underscores the robust collaboration between ICE and our law enforcement partners,” said Patricia H. Hyde, acting Field Office Director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in Boston. “ICE officers, together with FBI, DEA, and ATF agents, apprehended numerous illegal alien offenders, including a child predator. The U.S. Coast Guard ensured safe transport of these individuals off the islands, prioritizing community safety.”
ICE Boston, alongside FBI Boston, DEA New England, and ATF Boston, arrested around 40 illegal aliens on the islands, many with U.S. criminal records, including the MS-13 member and a child sex offender.
“The FBI remains committed to supporting our partners at the Department of Homeland Security in identifying and apprehending those who violate immigration laws and, in some cases, pose public safety risks,” said Kimberly Milka, acting Special Agent in Charge of FBI Boston.
The U.S. Coast Guard’s Sector Southeastern New England supported the operation by providing small boats and a cutter to safely transport the apprehended individuals from Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard.
