Motorcycle rider transported by MedFlight after collision with vehicle on Route 44

A motorcycle rider was seriously injured in a Friday evening crash.

According to the Lakeville Fire Department, just before 6:00 p.m., emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Route 44 at the town line.

Responding units included Ambulance 2, Ambulance 3 (Morton Hospital), Engine 1, Engine 3, and Car 2. The Taunton Fire Department also provided an Engine Company response, despite simultaneously managing a structure fire in their city.

One adult male with significant injuries was transported by Ambulance 2 to the Walmart parking lot in Raynham for a rendezvous with a medical helicopter. Ambulance 3 transported an adult male with minor injuries to Morton Hospital.
