Motorcycle rider transported by MedFlight after collision with pickup truck on Route 140

A weekend crash left a motorcycle rider with apparent serious injuries.

Just before 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, a call came into dispatch for a collision between a motorcycle and pickup truck in the area of 460 Franklin Street/Route 140 (Nicky’s Restaurant).

MedFlight landed at King Philip High School at 201 Franklin Street to transport the motorcycle operator to the hospital.

Police Chief Bill McGrath did not have an update as of Sunday afternoon, however, he noted that the male motorcycle rider was conscious and alert when being loaded into MedFlight.

“Hopefully, that trend continued.”

The crash is under investigation.
