Motorcycle rider seriously injured, transported to Rhode Island Hospital after collision with vehicle
A motorcycle rider was injured in a collision that was described as a difficult accident scene.
At approximately 9:15 p.m. on Friday, police and fire responded to a car versus motorcycle in the vicinity of the 800 Block of Division Street in East Greenwich.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.
According to WJAR 10, the motorcycle rider was traveling east on Division Street when the vehicle in front yielded at Sanctuary Drive to allow another vehicle to turn west onto Division Street.
The motorcyclist attempted to pass the vehicle that was yielding and crashed into the vehicle that was turning west.

People need to drive correctly and let cars entering a roadway to wait until there are no oncoming traffic , this is what happens when an idiot tries to be curtious

Or the rider could avoid following too closely. I drive the slewed limit and am pushed by them all the time. Just courting disaster as we see here..

I think it is a double yellow line there. If he/she crossed it I have no sympathy. You’re not out on the open road with the wind in your hair. There are 4 traffic lights ahead of you. I am never in the passing lane on the highway so that would be the place for the “need for speed” – not a town residential thoroughfare.
