Motorcycle rider in medically induced coma after collision with truck in New Bedford

A male motorcycle rider was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision.

Just before 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, a call came into dispatch for a crash between a truck and motorcycle at the intersection of David Street and Brock Avenue in New Bedford.

It was reported that the motorcycle rider was laying on the ground unconscious and bleeding from the face.

The road was shut down while police investigated the incident.

Friends say that the man riding the motorcycle is in a medically induced coma but is in stable condition.

The truck driver reportedly ran a stop sign.
