Motorcycle rider ejected, cited, after collision with vehicle in Fall River

A collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle resulted in injuries on Thursday.

According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Broadway and Middle Street to for a collision involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle.

Both vehicles were at the traffic light at this intersection traveling in opposite directions when the light turned green. The Chevy was allowed to turn left by the first vehicle in the line. As the Chevy began to turn left, the operator of the motorcycle decided to pass all the vehicles on the left. As he entered the intersection, he struck the passenger side of the Chevy which had been given right-of-way to turn left onto Middle Street. 

The operator of the motorcycle would be ejected from his vehicle as a result of the collision. He was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the accident.

The operator of the Chevy did not wish to pursue medical attention. 

The motorcycle operator was cited for failure to drive in the right lane.

    I bet he wont do that ever again. Impatience & distraction are the 2 biggest causes of accidents

      Yeah, like when you drive a Motorcycle you have to Pertain to the Laws. Just cause you have a Bike and can drive to the front of the line, it’s not right to break the Law cause you think you are number 1, you’re not. Just another human being that is gonna hurt yourself!!!!!!
