One person is dead, and another is injured after a weekend collision.

According to Sergeant Mark Auld, on Saturday, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Bellingham Police Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a motor vehicle crash in the area of Depot Street and Box Pond Road involving a Motorcycle and a Pick-up Truck with the motorcycle operator on the ground unresponsive.

Police and Fire personnel arrived on scene and immediately began performing lifesaving first aid. The operator of the motorcycle was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries. The operator of the pick-up truck who remained on scene was also transported to the hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Initial reports suggest speed may have been a factor.

No further information is being released at this time pending next of kin notifications.

This crash is under investigation by the Bellingham Police Department in conjunction with the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Regional Accident Reconstruction Team.
