Motorcycle crash involving Attleboro and Fall River men leaves serious injuries
Police have released the names involved in a Friday evening motorcycle crash.
According to TPD, at 6:59 p.m., the Taunton Police Department along with the Taunton Fire Department responded to the area of Alfred Lord Boulevard and Worcester Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.
The initial investigation revealed that a Harley Davidson motorcycle, was traveling south on Alfred Lord Boulevard, when the motorcycle struck a Dodge Grand Caravan that was traveling north on Alfred Lord Boulevard.
As a result of the collision, the motorcycle operator, Robert Souza, of Attleboro, suffered serious injuries and was transported via med flight to a Boston Hospital.
Taunton Police stated that, Michael DeOliveira, from Fall River, who was the driver of the Caravan that was struck, was uninjured along with a passenger.
The crash is under further investigation by Taunton Police Detectives and the Taunton Police Crash Reconstruction Team.
