Mother, son struck by vehicle at Dartmouth Mall Tuesday
Dartmouth Police are reporting that two pedestrians were hit in the Dartmouth Mall lot.
On Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at approximately 7:19 p.m., Dartmouth Police responded to the Dartmouth Mall parking lot to investigate a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian crash.
Upon arrival, it was determined that a 27 year old female pedestrian, identified as Karina Maldonado of Providence, RI, and her 8 year old son, had been struck by a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander operated by 53 year old Elizabeth Platt of Lakeville, MA.
As a result of the crash, both Maldonado and her son were transported to Rhode Island/Hasbro Children’s Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
No charges have yet been filed, and the crash remains under investigation by the Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit.
