Mother: Four-year-old autistic Massachusetts boy tragically dies after falling from four-story window
A four-year-old Massachusetts boy tragically died last week after falling out of a four-story window.
According to multiple reports and a GoFundMe fundraiser page, on August 17, Erika Moon was in her apartment in Boston when her four-year-old autistic son Isaak somehow got around the baby gate and managed to open a window.
“He opened the gate that’s blocking my window and he opened the window. He leaned out and ‘boom,’ he fell out the window,” Moon said. “I heard the boom, so I went running down and I picked him up. He wasn’t breathing.”
“He has spectrum autism, so I’ve been telling the people that we can’t be on the fourth floor,” Moon said. “He has no sense of danger. He doesn’t even speak.”
CPR was performed and he was able to start breathing when he was transported to Boston Children’s hospital in critical condition with serious brain damage.
Isaak’s mother announced on August 19th on social media that her son had died.
Moon is understandably having a difficult time dealing with the sudden loss of her four-year-old boy.
The fundraiser has been created for expenses and funeral costs and has raised $1,800 as of this writing.
