Morton Middle School in Fall River announces sudden passing of 6th grader
A Fall River middle school student died suddenly on Thursday.
According to a letter sent to parents by Principal Dr. Nicholas Bettencourt, Morton Middle School Grade 6 student Jordan Morocho Carchi died suddenly following a medical emergency.
“We want to thank our first responders for their heroic efforts today. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jordan, his parents and family, as well as all within our community who were blessed with knowing him. “
“We wanted to share this information with you to allow each of you time to process this tragedy as a family. We have included additional information that can assist families in discussing grief with their child. We are saddened by the loss to our school community and will make every effort to support you and your child as you need. Please know that we will have additional grief counselors at school tomorrow to support our community.”
No other details on the child’s death were released.
