Morning crash on Route 195 in Westport leads to injuries
A crash that took place on a local highway this morning resulted in injuries to the car’s occupants.
According to Massachusetts State Police Trooper James DeAngelis, at 11:45 a.m., Troopers responded to reports of a single vehicle crash on Route 195 eastbound in the area of Exit 15 in Westport.
The vehicle involved was a 2007 Lexus ES350 operated by a 55-year-old woman from Fall River, and a 54-year-old male passenger from Yarmouth.
According to Westport Fire Department scanner transmissions, the vehicle was smoking and there was entrapment.
Minor injuries were reported in the collision by Massachusetts State Police.
The scene cleared at 12:50 p.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
