More human remains have been found in New England.

On Wednesday, human remains were discovered in Westerly, Rhode Island, along Everett Avenue.

According to reports, two people walking in the area found a human leg bone near the water around 9:30 a.m. The Westerly Police Department responded, and the remains were turned over to the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office for analysis and identification.

Police Chief Paul Gingerella stated that the discovery is not considered suspicious, and there is no perceived threat to the public.

Authorities are working to identify the remains, but no further details about the identity or cause of death have been released.

This discovery has sparked more social media discussion speculating about a serial killer, though police have not linked this case to other recent remains found in the region and authorities continue to reiterate there is no evidence of a serial killer.
