More details on the arrest of a Fall River man concerning the murder of 31-year-old Taiquan Teixeira

We are learning more details concerning the arrest of a Fall River man related to the murder of 31-year-old Taiquan Teixeira in Fall River.

According to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III, 32-year-old Kendrick Williams of Fall River was arrested today in Jacksonville, Florida, and charged with Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon causing Serious Bodily Injury, Carrying a Firearm Subsequent Offense, and Carrying a Loaded Firearm. 

Kendrick Williams also has warrants out of Bristol Superior Court Probation for Armed Home Invasion and Masked Armed Robbery with a Firearm (2 counts). The probation cases originated out of Plymouth County and were transferred to Bristol County for supervision.

The defendant will be held without bail in Florida until process has been secured to send him to Massachusetts.

According to records from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Williams was admitted into the jail at just after 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The charge he is facing in Jacksonville is Use or Possession With Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia. He was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office and has a bond of $500 on that particular charge, although due to his status in Fall River, he is being held without bail.

Williams has his first scheduled court appearance at 1:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
