Monday evening fire in Fall River displaces 7 families
The Fall River Fire Department made quick work of a multi-family blaze in the city on Monday.
At approximately 9:24 p.m., a call came in for flames showing at 71 East Main Street. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered flames and smoke from a kitchen fire on the first floor.
According to District Fire Chief Jason Poissant, the fire was knocked down in approximately ten minutes with overhaul resulting after the knock down.
Poissant stated that seven families were displaced in the fire which included ten adults and eight children.
No injures were reported, according to Poissant.
The fire is under investigation.
