Missing Massachusetts woman found deceased remembered as great person and co-worker
The Worcester Police Department announced on Tuesday that on Monday at approximately 4:00 p.m., following an intensive missing persons investigation, Worcester Police Detectives located a deceased female in the area of 27 Mount Vernon Street, Worcester.
Detectives discovered the woman inside her gray Mitsubishi Outlander. She was later identified as Joanna Brown who was reported missing by her family on Sunday.
Brown had last been seen Friday leaving her job at the Bean Counter Bakery Cafe on Grove Street.
At this time, the circumstances around the death of Brown are being actively investigated by the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and members of the Worcester Police Detective Bureau.
Those who knew Brown described her as a beloved employee who was a great person and treated her friends and co-workers like family.
