Middletown man charged with sexual assault of minor
On Tuesday, a local man was arrested on some disturbing charges.
According to Deputy Chief Michael Arnold, 54-year-old Andrew Phy, who resides on Porter Road in Middletown, Rhode Island, was charged with First Degree Child Molestation/Sexual Assault.
Phy was charged in relation to a sexual assault that had occurred several years ago involving a then seven-year-old juvenile.
Arnold stated that Phy was held overnight and will be arraigned today in 2nd District Court on the sexual assault charge.
