MassDOT announces lanes closures, rolling roadblocks for Route 24 ramps, Route 44
RAYNHAM – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing overnight lane closures and rolling roadblocks on Route 44 in Raynham. The work will take place on Wednesday, June 24, from 7:00 p.m., until 5:00 a.m., on Thursday, June 25. The traffic measures are necessary to facilitate a concrete deck pour in order to replace the structurally deficient bridge. If weather requires postponement, this work will take place beginning in the evening of Thursday, June 25, and concluding in the morning of June 26.
The work will require temporary roadway closures and roadblocks as follows:
-The ramp from Route 44 westbound to Route 24 southbound.
-The on-ramp from Route 44 eastbound to Route 24 northbound.
-State Police will travel at reduced speeds to slow the traffic flow, so the contractor can place the bridge deck above Route 24. Rolling roadblocks will be limited to 20 minutes maximum duration.
Detours will be in place during the on-ramp closures and details are below.
Route 44 westbound to Route 24 southbound Detour Route
o Continue on Route 44 westbound past the exit.
