Massachusetts woman was hoping to win a few hundred, instead her State Lottery scratch ticket was life changing
A Massachusetts woman was hoping to win just a few hundred bucks, instead she hit an amount that would change her life.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Cecile Caruso of Everett has won the fourth and final $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Hit $500” instant ticket game.
Caruso chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She said she played this ticket hoping to win $500, only to win the $1 million grand prize.
She purchased her winning ticket at Kipo’s Market & Deli, 42 Bradford St. in Everett. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
