With how difficult it is to hit big money, it’s always great to see how happy winner’s get when a big State Lottery prize comes there way. Even better when they are happy to give it away.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Louann Briscoe of Groveland is the winner of a $500,000 top prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$500,000 Frenzy” $50 instant ticket game.

Briscoe received a one-time payment of $500,000 (before taxes). She will use the winnings to set up a college fund for her grandkids. “I’m happy and excited because we can use it to take care of our family. I’m very grateful,” said Briscoe.

She picked the ticket because her family calls her a “frenzy”.

The winning ticket was purchased at Crosby’s Marketplace, 62 Central St. in Georgetown. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

The “$500,000 Frenzy” instant ticket launched with a total of 50 top prizes. This is the sixth $500,000 to be claimed.
