Massachusetts woman repping Boston Red Sox after hitting $1 million State Lottery prize on scratch ticket; here is how she plans on spending it
A Massachusetts woman had more luck recently than her team, the Boston Red Sox, as she hit big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Ronda Brown of Orange has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” $10 instant ticket game.
Brown chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She plans on investing her winnings.
She purchased her winning ticket at Cumberland Farms, 25 East Main St in Orange. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
$2,000,000 50X Cashword has two $1 million prizes remaining.
