Massachusetts woman planning fun, to help loved ones, after big multi-state lottery win
A Massachusetts woman plans on performing a good deed after hitting big money playing a lottery game.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Brenda Donnelly of Worcester is the winner of a $25,000 a year for life prize in the multi-state Lucky for Life game after the first five numbers on her Quic Pic ticket matched those selected in the December 8 drawing.
Donnelly claimed her prize Wednesday at Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in Dorchester. She chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $390,000 (before taxes). She said she plans on using her winnings to take a trip and help her daughter and grandchildren.
She purchased her winning ticket at Shaw’s, 68 Stafford St. in Worcester.
Lucky for Life drawings are conducted seven nights a week.
