Massachusetts woman has some fun activities planned after hitting $1 million on State Lottery scratch ticket

Fun is on the agenda after a recent big win on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Shirley Bryden of Springfield is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$50X” $5 instant ticket game.

Bryden chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She said she plans on doing fun activities with the winnings.

She bought her winning ticket at Mobil, 3111 Main St. in Springfield. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
