Massachusetts woman has one purchase in mind after hitting $1 million State Lottery prize during supermarket trip

A trip to a popular Massachusetts supermarket resulted in a big State Lottery win for a Bay State woman.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Lisha Ellerbee of Boston is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Bonus Money” $10 instant ticket game.

Ellerbee chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She plans on buying a car with her winnings. 

She bought her winning ticket at Stop & Shop, 316 Grove St. in Braintree. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$4,000,000 Bonus Money has two $4,000,000 and four $1,000,000 prizes remaining.
