Massachusetts woman has no plans to move after hitting $1 million State Lottery prize; here is what she says she will do
A Massachusetts woman’s plans show she plans on staying put after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Brenda Mellor of Randolph is the winner of the tenth and final $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler” instant ticket game.
She chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Mellor said she plans to use her winnings for renovating her roof and pool.
She purchased her winning ticket at The Variety Store, 2 Mazzeo Dr. in Randolph. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
