Massachusetts woman has no plans on moving after hitting $1 million State Lottery prize
A Massachusetts woman is staying put after winning big money on a scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Donna Balut of New Bedford has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” $10 instant ticket game.
Balut opted to receive her prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She said she plans on putting her winnings towards her home.
She purchased her winning ticket at Belleville Discount Gas, 535 Belleville Ave. in New Bedford. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
