Massachusetts woman giving away her winnings after hitting $1 million prize on State Lottery scratch ticket

They say it is better to give than to receive and a Massachusetts woman is living by that adage after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Letizia Zwicker of Dracut is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000,000 Winter Winnings” $5 instant ticket game.

Zwicker chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She plans on helping out her family with the winnings.

She purchased her winning ticket at Raceway, 1499 Broadway Rd. in Dracut. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$1,000,000 Winter Winnings has one $1,000,000 prize remaining.
