Massachusetts woman finishes the year with a bang after hitting $1 million on a State Lottery scratch ticket
Many of us look to finish the year strong before setting our new year resolutions. If a Massachusetts woman was looking to hit big money in the new year, she accomplished it a few days early.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Agnes Silva put a bow on 2022 by winning a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$10,000,000 Winter Riches” instant ticket game.
Silva, who is from Rehoboth, opted to receive her prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes).
Her winning ticket was purchased at Rochelle’s Convenience Mart located at 2 Olney St. in Seekonk. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.
