Massachusetts woman arrested Friday after being accused of murdering her grandmother
A Massachusetts woman is being charged with the murder of her grandmother and trying to conceal evidence of her crime.
According to ABC News 10, 26-year-old Kelsie Cote was arrested Friday for the murder of 74-year-old Doris Cote, her grandmother.
On Tuesday, North Adams Police responded to a 911 call from a relative of Doris Cote stating that they found her in the home deceased.
According to police, both the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office and the North Adams Police Department determined that there was probable cause to arrest Cote for murdering her grandmother on the evening of Halloween and then attempting to destroy evidence of her crime.
Cote is expected to be arraigned in Northern Berkshire District Court on Monday where more details are expected to be released.
