Massachusetts winner of $11.7 million State Lottery jackpot is all about focusing on family
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, the winner of an $11.7 million jackpot prize that was at stake in the Mass Lottery’s Megabucks Doubler drawing that took place Saturday, October 7, 2023, has been announced.
Let It Be Trust of Foxborough, represented by trustee Felix Betro, chose the cash option on its prize and received a one-time payment of $7,486,238 (before taxes). Betro said that the winner plans to cut back on work and to focus on their children and grandchildren. He also said they’ve expressed an interest in putting their winnings toward travel.
The winning ticket was purchased at Joe’s Kwik Mart, 251 E. Central St. in Franklin. The store receives a $50,000 bonus for its sale of the jackpot winning ticket.
As of November 12, Megabucks Doubler is now called Megabucks and the redesigned game offers better odds of winning, a higher average jackpot, and bigger payouts for all levels of non-jackpot prizes. There is also an additional opportunity every week to play and win, with a Monday drawing joining Wednesday and Saturday drawings.
