Parents often think about their kids, so it is no surprise that when a Massachusetts winner hit a big lottery prize, that is where their mind went.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Oasis Trust of Quincy claimed a $1 million prize won on a Powerball ticket purchased in Dorchester for the multi-state game’s Saturday, March 15 drawing that featured a $380.6 million jackpot.

The trust, represented by trustee David Spillane, claimed the $1 million prize (before taxes) at the Massachusetts State Lottery’s Dorchester headquarters. Spillane said the winner plans on putting the winnings towards their children’s education.

The winning ticket was purchased at Supreme Liquors Fields Corner, 506 Geneva Ave. in Dorchester. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
