Massachusetts teacher placed on leave after indecent assault charge on student
Chief Scott D. Benton reports that the Whitman Police Department is investigating an allegation of inappropriate contact between a teacher and a student.
At approximately 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 15th, a Whitman Police School Resource Officer was notified of alleged inappropriate contact between a teacher and a student at the Duval Elementary School.
School officials immediately placed the teacher on administrative leave and Whitman Police launched an investigation.
Matthew DiMuccio, 32, of Wellesley has been charged with two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.
DiMuccio will be arraigned Tuesday in Brockton District Court.
According to Whitman PD, because the alleged incident involves a minor, further details cannot be released at this time.
