Massachusetts State Rep. warns public after incident with stranger at Target
A Massachusetts State Rep. is warning the public after something that she experienced at a department store, and she says similar incidents have been taking place.
Alyson Sullivan, who represents the Town of Abington, took to social media to let people know what transpired so they wouldn’t become a victim.
“Please be aware. This evening at the Target in Stoughton, a man tried to coax me out of my car claiming I had an oil leak. I checked my car when it was safe to do so, and I did not have an oil leak. The police were notified. Unfortunately, similar events have been happening so please be aware at all times. Please be aware of your surroundings especially when out alone shopping. Remember to never get out of your car. If concerned, call the police for assistance. Stay vigilant.”
Variations of this scam have popped up in previous years such as strangers stating that something is on a driver’s windshield which results in a stolen vehicle or worse.

Over the summer I walked thru my back yard thru about 100 feet of woods to talk to my neighbor in her back yard she is someone whom I never met , I introduced myself as politely as i could as the neighbor thru the ๐ณ ๐ณ (pointing at my house) and my cat (pointing at the ground to show how big he was ) had been missing for 24 hours which is highly unusual and that I noticed that her shed was open the day before (also pointing at her shed) and if after I leave could she open up her shed just to see if he runs out . So I left , my cat came home later that evening I was so happy little Maxie made it home , the next day I got alert on the town Facebook group from the police there’s a gas man walking around back yards wanting to look in people’s sheds and to be on the lookout and to be very cautious โ ๏ธ as it could lead into a home invasion or something much more serious, so I’m writing this because there is still good people in the ๐ that can have normal encounters with people and not to be scared of everyone even though thats what the media wants you to be . Now that I look back that she didn’t say much and nodded after I pointed to all these things , but just to imagine the fear she was going thru as I ask her about my cat ๐ is pretty sad of the world we live in ..
