Two from Massachusetts have been arrested in a road rage incident where a driver was reportedly stabbed with scissors and kicked.

According to Massachusetts State Police, at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Troopers from the State Police-South Boston Barracks responded to Quincy Shore Drive at Bay State Road for a report of an assault following a road rage incident. Responding Troopers, along with Quincy Police, Quincy Firefighters, and Brewster Ambulance personnel, located a Chevrolet Equinox and its driver, a 22-year-old woman who had suffered stab wounds to her head and arm. That victim was transported to Carney Hospital in Dorchester, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and later released.

Troopers determined that the suspects, the occupants of the other involved vehicle, a 2008 Hyundai Elantra, fled the scene after the incident. Troopers went to the Blake Street, Boston, address of the owner and operator of the Elantra, where they located her and a juvenile passenger. Further investigation determined that the Elantra’s operator, Mindy Alleyne, 22, of Boston, stabbed the victim with a pair of scissors while the juvenile passenger, a 16-year-old Boston girl, kicked the victim in the head. Troopers took both suspects into custody and transported them to the South Boston Barracks.

Alleyne was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (scissors), mayhem, and disorderly conduct, and was ordered held by a bail clerk on $5,040 cash bail. The 16-year-old juvenile was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot) and disorderly conduct wans was released to the custody of her mother. Both were expected to be arraigned this week in Quincy District Court.

Troopers recovered a pair of scissors believed used in the assault at the scene of the incident.
