Massachusetts State Police, Swansea, Somerset, respond to crash with reported head trauma on I-195

Crews from multiple local communities responded to a highway crash on Saturday afternoon.

According to scanner transmissions, at just after 1:30 p.m., a call came into dispatch for a motor vehicle accident on I-195 Westbound in the area of the Maple Avenue overpass in Swansea.

Upon arrival, crews located a person with reported head trauma.

Massachusetts State Police, Swansea and Somerset personnel responded to the scene as multiple ambulances were called.

The incident is under investigation.
