Massachusetts State Police searching for driver that fled from fatal Bristol County highway crash
ATTLEBORO — Crews responded to a serious crash on Interstate 95 North Wednesday morning that turned fatal.
At just after 5:00 a.m., the Attleboro Fire Department and Massachusetts State Police were dispatched to Interstate 95 North, prior to Exit 4 (Route 123) near the weigh station, for a reported motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, crews located a sedan and a tractor trailer, both with significant damage.
Attleboro Fire Department provided patient care to the occupant of the sedan and transported them to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
One of the individuals required CPR on scene and later was pronounced deceased.
State Police issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) to area law enforcement for a man who fled the scene wearing shorts and boots.
Fire crews remained on scene until approximately 6:50 a.m.
