Massachusetts State Police respond to multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 195 in Dartmouth that has shut down highway
According to Dartmouth Police, Massachusetts State Police responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on the highway on Wednesday.
According to scanner transmissions, three vehicles were involved and at least one person needed to be extracted from the vehicle.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has stated that I-195 westbound is currently closed at mile marker 21.2 in Dartmouth due to the crash which took place at approximately 11:15 a.m.
The closure is expected to remain in place for several hours. All I-195 westbound traffic is being detoured via exit 24.
No word yet on the severity of injuries.
