Massachusetts State Police respond to crash that resulted in one woman dead, three children injured on I-195

Massachusetts State Police responded to a fatal highway crash on Monday morning that also injured several others.

According to Trooper Leah O’Connell, Troopers assigned to the Dartmouth Barracks responded to a single-car crash on Interstate 195 East at mile marker 4.2 in Rehoboth.  

Preliminary information indicates that the adult operator suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash. 

The operator and their 3 juvenile passengers were transported to a Rhode Island hospital via ambulance. Unfortunately, the operator succumbed to their injuries. 

No further information is available regarding the identity of the decedent or the occupants. 

Scanner transmissions reported the driver was female but was not confirmed by Massachusetts State Police.

Massachusetts State Police offered condolences to the decedent’s loved ones.
