Massachusetts State Police respond to crash after truck collides with train bridge on Route 495 causing damage

Crews responded to a collision on Sunday morning that caused damage to a vehicle and a bridge.
According to Tim McGuirk of Massachusetts State Police Media Relations, at approximately 6:30 a.m., a dumpster truck crashed into a train bridge on Route 105 where the road crosses Interstate 495 in Middleboro. The truck rolled onto its side and the train bridge sustained damage as a result of the crash.
The operator sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
For the safety of motorists, officials closed several lanes of traffic on Route 105 in both directions, notified the MBTA about the event, and requested assistance from the State Police Truck Team with the ongoing investigation.
All lanes reopened on Route 105 shortly after 9:00 a.m.
