Massachusetts State Police respond to 200 crashes Friday as up to 6 1/2 inches of snow drops

As a snowstorm dropped varying degrees of snow unto roads across the Bay State, it wreaked havoc on highways.

According to Tim McGuirk of Massachusetts State Police, on Friday, members of the State Police responded to 200 crashes statewide.

Responding troopers categorized 106 of those crashes as serious, meaning the crash resulted in more than $1K damage or injury.

The storm dropped as much as 6 1/2 inches of snow.
