Massachusetts State Police respond after person jumps off of bridge unto roadway

State Police Troopers responded to a bridge jumper on Thursday morning.

According to Massachusetts State Police, at approximately 9:00 a.m., a person believed to be in mental health crisis jumped from the Boston University Bridge onto Storrow Drive west. State Police facilitated the person’s medical transport by EMS to an area hospital. 

A spokesperson stated that no information is available about the person’s identity or their injuries – though the subject was conscious and alert at the time of the transport. 

The Massachusetts State Police expressed their care and concern for those in mental health crisis.
