Massachusetts State Police report three seriously injured in motorcycle crash on Route 195 in Swansea
Several people were injured after a crash involving motorcycles on a local highway.
According to Massachusetts State Police, at just after 4:00 p.m., cruisers from the State Police barracks in Dartmouth responded to reports of a crash involving three motorcycles on Route 195 Westbound (exit 8) in Swansea.
Troopers on scene reported 3 victims with serious injury who were transported to area hospitals. All lanes on Route 195 Westbound were shut down.
Currently, two lanes are open.
Scanner transmissions reported loss of limbs, however, that was not confirmed or denied by police.
A witness stated at least two of the motorcycles were found in pieces.
The State Police Detective Unit at the Bristol County DA’s Office will be assisting in the investigation.
