Massachusetts State Police release preliminary investigation of fatal crash on Route 95
Massachusetts State Police are investigating a fatal crash that took place this morning.
According to Massachusetts State Police, at approximately 9:25 a.m. Massachusetts State Troopers, along with Fire and EMS units, responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 95 southbound in Foxborough prior to Route 495 that resulted in one fatality.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Honda Accord was southbound when, for reasons still under investigation, it went off the road to the left, and struck the guardrail. The Honda then rolled over the guardrail.
The operator was determined to be deceased at the scene. The operator is identified as a 27-year-old male from East Greenwich, RI.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing and is being conducted by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section.
Troopers were assisted on scene by Foxborough Fire and Massachusetts DOT.
