Massachusetts State Police release name of 25-year-old killed in 5-vehicle highway crash

Massachusetts State Police have released the name of the victim in a fatal multi-vehicle crash on Thursday.
According to Massachusetts State Police, at just after 6:15 p.m., Troopers from the Medford Barracks responded to a five-vehicle crash on Interstate 93 north prior to exit 25 in Medford.
While the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by the State Police, preliminary information indicates that a Toyota Camry struck four vehicles. One of the vehicles, a Ford F350, overturned into the wood line adjacent to the road and the operator was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash required officials to close northbound side of the Interstate for two hours when one lane became available to pass. Traffic resumed normally shortly before 11:00 p.m.
In addition to Troopers from the Medford Barracks, State Police deployed members assigned to the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Crime Scene Services Section, Troop A Detectives, and the Troop A Community Action Team. Medford Police, Fire, and EMS also provided assistance.
The decedent is identified as Fredis Seravia-Corvera, 25, of Revere.
MSP offered condolences to the deceased’s family and loved ones.
The crash remains under investigation by the State Police.
