Massachusetts State Police: Plane lands on Massachusetts highway
A plane landed on a Massachusetts highway this afternoon.
According to Massachusetts State Police, shortly after 5:30 p.m., a small plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Route 91 in Greenfield after suffering a mechanical failure.
The pilot was able to make a successful landing and did not crash, avoiding injuries to both occupants.
No other vehicles were involved.
Responding Troopers were able to assist in rotating the plane in order to allow traffic to pass.
At this time (6:30 p.m.) special crews and equipment are enroute to the scene to remove the plane.
