Massachusetts State Police: One driver pronounced deceased after collision on Route 6

A driver is dead after a late-night collision on a Massachusetts highway.

According to Trooper Leah O’Connell, on Friday, at just before 10:30 p.m., Troopers responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 6 Westbound at the 6 mile marker in Barnstable.

Upon their arrival, Troopers advised the occupant was trapped inside the vehicle.

EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the occupant as deceased.

The crash is still under investigation by State Police CARS Unit and Crime Scene Services.  

The identity of the deceased is being withheld at this time pending family notification.
